So you keep hearing about blogging, read about how agents should blog and didn't know where to start. Well you have come to the right place!
Let's start in the beginning a blog stands for web log which is you posting a message on the web. It's different then a website because now folks who read it can respond with comments or add more information to the blog. What should you post on your blog? Well you the agent should post information about your local market and yourself as a Real Estate Professional. Some folks do include a little personal information to make them human but don't get carried away.
So why do this? Are you creating a monster? Well blogging can move you to front page in search engines, what's that worth? If you blog every other day in a month or two you will be in the top five based on your key words you picked when you started your blog. Example I picked "National Speaker Bentonville, AR", well in Google I am number one, if you drop Bentonville I am still number one, and if you just enter "National Speaker" I have been as high as page three but what a tough phrase to climb in ranking, I started on page 18.
How much does blogging cost? Just your time! There are many sites out there that offer free blogging, if you go back to the previous page on my site I list 3 of them. I blog on all three most of the time with the same content but if you Google my name you will see all the different blogs and even what I have blogged about.
Now what I am doing, I started posting "Tips and Tricks" on my blog which if you come to one of my blogging sites you can sign up so that when I post a blog you are emailed. Both "Active Rain" and "Zolve" are good with that.
